Is there a "classic dark" theme? Dark just looks like every post is quoted, making the readable column of text barely 2" wide, and classic burns my retinas at night...

The "last refreshed..." Time appears to be missing from the pull to refresh GUI element. I actually use this quite a bit it turns out. Especially when my connection is spotty, like near the elevators in my office.

Cyanogenmod already has 4.4-based versions out?

Hadlock

I would prefer a better "dark" theme included (wider text column, etc) by default, rather than the ability to create threads. Or a better PM interface, or better emote selection (like a search function) or a hundred other things before I need the ability to create threads in what's primarily a reader app.

I strongly disagree with "widening" the text, the card interface and whitespace makes things so much more readable than the old way. It would be nice if dark/light themes toggled by reading the ambient light sensor when the app launched though.

The screen on my Nexus S is the same size as a credit card. It doesn't need to be any more narrow. I'm sure the existing theme is great on a 4.5" screen or 5" screen.

Dark theme saves a ton of battery power on (S)AMOLED screens

The nexus S is three years old, dude. It was unusable a year ago (I know, I had to deal with one). Burn a subsidy or all that money you saved on a value plan to buy a modern device. The MotoG is faster than a SGS4 and $180 off contract come January and the Nexus 5 is $350, on contract there are plenty of free good devices.

Ok I ordered a Nexus 5 16GB, it will be here on Tuesday. I will let you know how that goes.

However there are lots of users stuck on 4" screens and that form factor isn't going away anytime soon. Mini-flagships S4 mini and HTC one mini are 4.4 and 4.3" respectively.

I've only experienced it once so far in probably 2-3 hrs of use. It was on the top left side. I can't be specific but I think an animated GIF from the KSP thread of Abyssal Lurker's triggered it when I went forward one page. Or I could be completely making things up :iiam:

N5, 4.4

Disable pull-for-next - unchecked
Pull-to-refresh distance - 33%

Pull for next is not working when pulling up from the bottom. It does show the "white pull glow", so the app is registering the pull. If I pull from off screen up from the bottom it launches Google Now.

Still having this issues on my Nexus 5 with 4.4.2

Seems to be if I visit the last page of a thread, hit the power screen off button, power screen back on, home, do some stuff, then choose the awful app from the home screen, the pull up to refresh/reload does not work. White "pull to reload" glow appears but does nothing until you swipe left and back, at which point it works.

While we're in there making changes with the images stuff, can we get a [TIMG] tag added to the list of pre-made tags? I completely forgot we have the ability to attach images through the forum, I just always use imgur, as does pretty much everyone else, which sort of necessitates the timg tag.

Not sure what the MD update was, I updated for the forums CSS overhaul, and once the app got stable again, disabled auto-updates. I got a new phone in November which downloaded the latest version, at which point I disabled auto-updates again. The app is really good as far as I'm concerned, no need to update it :)

I would probably update for a true OLED theme for my Moto X 2013, as hooah suggested. I'm sure all the Samsung owners would appreciate one, too.

Somehow my phone got pushed an update which disabled my app update preferences, so it's been a while since I've been in here. My app got updated to, i can only guess, the most recent app store version.

1. How do I revert to the old shorter thread tags

2. How do I get rid of the pencil "reply" icon, or at least make it smaller/transparent (what was wrong with the old drop down option? How many people reply to every thread they read that would require it front and center like that? A better option would have been a floating icon that's a shortcut back to my bookmarks page)
