Yesterday my seven year-old son brought home a test with repeated swirly squiggles all over the margins and in a block of the answer spaces. He was meant to have written letter closings (sincerely, etc.) in those spots. I asked him what was up and he told me he was signing it. Like me. I realized why those weird glyphs looked so familiar: he had forged my signature all over the paper.
