Classic Storm helps a lot. I'm thinking you're best off assembling a team of 2* mans rather than trying to max anything higher.

Something I really like about the mechanics of this is that damage on chains is reduced depending on how far into the chain you are- meaning you can't just get a lucky chain and wipe the other guy out. Something I really dislike about the mechanics of this is that the Iso-8 rewards are lovely aside from 1-time bonuses.
