I want to listen to more of that song...does that mean it's doing it's job wrong?

Pitchfork posted a revisit/review of The Social Network score. It'll probably make you want to listen to and/or watch it again.

Their main thesis is that the score is the key thing that keeps the movie from looking totally antiquated in hindsight, which is probably fair.

You are totally right. I was kind of hoping they would have a streaming link on the article page that I could listen to while reading (they don't). Such a good record, and the review is spot on.

Well, that actually put me in mind to check if Rob Sheridan had anything kicking around on his site cause I had a vague memory of him a while back pointing out old poster stock or something somewhere, but apparently I was wrong about that.

What he does have is a lot of prints that have the right kinda vibe anyway, so I'll toss up a couple links to his stores:

https://robsheridan.storenvy.com/
https://robsheridan.threadless.com/collections/art-prints

I have a similar memory--I'm not sure where it came from, but I have a folder in my "desktop wallpaper" directory filled with various sized NIN images, some used in album art going as far back as The Downward Spiral and up through Year Zero. The filenames are all "Flump_178.jpg" to "Flump_234.jpg" in the 2400x1800 and 2560x1600 collection and "Flump_247.jpg" to "Flump_284.jpg"in 1920x1200, 1920x1440 collection. They have a 2008 date on them, as well.

It looks like they are all here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/nineinchnails/albums/72157609404567115/

Edit: the Flickr account has more images, going back to Sin and further to Ghosts and The Slip.

Listening to the longer score now and I absolutely prefer the flow of the Boys Noize one to this.

I mean, that's the point of the Boys Noize mix. The score is exactly what it's supposed to be (how it's used in the movie). But I agree that the flow is better in the mix. The tennis noises are jarring, even if they are the point.
