As we bid farewell to 201 HOW THIS THREAD WORKS Again, the purpose of this thread is to compile a list of the best (and worst) matches of the year. If you see a match and think it is absolutely tremendous and deserves to be on the list, give it a nomination for Match of the Year.  FOUR people need to vote a match for MOTYC for it to be added to the list. If you see a match that is just absolutely pure poo poo and deserves to be looked at as one of the worst things anybody will see throughout the entire year, feel free to give it a nomination for Worst Match of the Year! TWO people need to vote a match for WMOTYC for it to be added to the list. Now here is where some people get confused. We have something called Honorable Mention. The Honorable Mention is for one thing. You nominate it for the matches that JUST BARELY miss that MOTYC nomination. That's it. It is NOT for matches you think that were just really fun. It is NOT for a match that you thought somebody should just go out of the way to see. It is just for those matches that were just shy of hitting that level of MOTYC in your mind. Please do not post what your definition of an HM is or should be. If you do you'll just be put on a week probation. THREE people need to vote a match for HM for it to be added to the list. Oh, also: THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS AN HMOTYC OR TVMOTY. PLEASE DO NOT NOMINATE ANYTHING WITH THOSE TITLES  HELP ME OUT I like to update monthly. Here is an example of how I put things on the list for a 6 man tag match: Wrestler A, Wrestler B & Wrestler C vs. Wrestler D, Wrestler E & Wrestler F - MM/DD Promotion: Name of Show I like to type out every participant unless it's a Royal Rumble. Sometimes some people will nominate something like "THE SHIELD VS. TEAM BRYAN" --- I know who the Shield are, but I probably won't remember who TEAM BRYAN is in this case. If you can type out the names that'd be rad. Also please give me the Show it was on and the Date. Those are really helpful. Lastly, a couple of points of emphasis: - Please restrict yourself to only nominating matches that you yourself have seen. You don't need to have seen them live, but please don't nominate a match because you heard it was really good, or expect that it will be really good. Similarly, at least give Ryback vs. David Otunga a chance before you start throwing WMOTY nominations at it. - Also, please don't try to "veto" someone's nomination. If I think the 75th Antonio Cesaro vs. R-Truth match was grappling perfection and give a MOTY nomination, you can feel free to call me crazy or stupid, or even nominate that same match for WMOTY. But your nomination for WMOTY doesn't cancel out my nomination of it for MOTY, and neither of us can "veto" the other one.

I'm sure this has been brought up many times, but I like the idea of a "fun match / has 1-2 cool spots" category that would be worth having a list of at the end of the year. It can be entirely separate from MOTY / HM and would help in keeping those separate from HM status. Perhaps that would get flooded way too easily with quick 2-3 minute TV matches? Off the top of my head, I'm thinking of those fast-paced Cesaro vs Sin Cara matches that are short but still entertaining.

KES vs. Bullet Club was such a nothing match and exactly the type of match I think shouldn't be nominated for anything. Between Raw, NXT, Smackdown and Main Event WWE probably has 5-10 every week. It would be way too big to keep track of.
