I was at an FNM last night (TNM?) and Rakdos Aggro folds HARD to RG Monsters, Mono U with a Frostburn out, and Mono Black. Poor guy got matched up against each one in all 4 rounds and just suffered all night long. The only game he won was against Mono U when they didn't find a Frostburn.
I think he just had a bad night as I'm usually competitive with most of those decks.

I really should know better by now but it is still so baffling to me that WotC/the MTGO online team will come up with a wacky and random time-limited event, make it phantom only, make the prize support be almost totally valueless, and still charge $10 per entry.

Good grief. Are they always this bad? 2-1 is a push and 3-0 is barely 150% of entry.

They do it as 2HG at SCG events sometimes. Might be fun.

Something in the trade thread made me think to finally ask this. Who has the best rates on bulk commons/uncommons? I have a stack of 4 and 5 column boxes that's literally taller than I am full of stuff back to Revised that I need to get rid of.

There was a story of a group trying to decide what was better: weenies, medium creatures or fatties. Turns out it was just whatever deck drew more ancestral recalls ( a four of).
