A dog, in the house.

*woof*
Shamelessly stolen from AAADolfan's thread last year.

First - There will be two threads. One for discussion, and one for the picks themselves. This is helpful as it helps those who are approaching their turn, or are on the clock, to know exactly 1) who has been taken and 2) how much time they have left.

If that's a problem mods, please let me know and I wont clutter up the forum.

First and foremost... have fun. This is a fun thing. Don't be an rear end in a top hat. Don't bitch and don't gently caress up the thread if you think mock drafts are stupid. Get a life.

Okay well we do this every year, and it's usually started right around here. It's fun to see how the collective minds of TFF, which I feel have a better grasp on their team than the average sports fan, do compared to the real thing.

This is a 4 round mock draft. We can feel free to go more, if time permits, but people usually fade away after the 3rd round, so let's just see how it does.

Rules
Time - The clock will run from 7am to 12am Monday-Friday, 12pm-10pm on Saturday and Sunday (because we all have lives). You have 12 hours from the previous selection to make your pick. I think we all understand this concept, it's been used every single year.

War Rooms Feel free to have a war room! That'd make the clock much easier. If time expires, a recognized fan of your team will pop up and give his pick, even if hes not listed on the actual team list. If nobody is there (let's say.. Jaguars fans..) then you will be automatically given a player a player from the CFL, just because.

Trades - Yes. You can make trades. Feel free. You can only use 1) This year's draft picks and/or current players (no trading for 2014/2015 picks because that's just dumb). 2) The trades must be fair. If someone outside the trade objects, myself and others will make a judgment call, either allowing or vetoing the trade. Try to stick to the value chart but a deviation isn't an automatic void. If you're trading #32 and #64 for the 1st overall... yeah that's a veto.

Format for Picks
Same basic format we've been using. Make your selection in the PICKS thread, and include - The draft selection number, his college, his position, and a picture of the pic. The picture part is fairly liberal. Make us laugh.

Example of such:

quote:

With the 1st pick in the 2014 NFL Draft the Houston Texans select, Jadeveon Clowney

If you miss your window to pick you will be jumped, and the next pick you receive will only have a 2 hour window. Say you're the Browns picking 4th on a Wednesday, if your 12 hours expire the Raiders will take your pick and you their's at 5, but you will only have 2 hours to pick from that 5 spot before getting bumped down to 6 and so on and so forth.

Team GM's will work on a first come first served basis. The only exception to this is if you are not a fan of the team you're drafting for and an actual fans steps up to claim your crown.
