We are lucky because the gi bill reimburses us but how is anyone supposed to get higher education when poo poo costs so drat much.

Also my wife had some blood work done recently as part of an annual checkup and the blood processing folks didnt charge our insurance and sent us a bill. 500 dollars for some monkeys in a chemistry lab to read results spit out by a computer. We got it sorted and insurance is gonna be charged but how the gently caress are people able to get medical care without going bankrupt? As hit-and-miss as Tricare was, it sure beats paying out the rear end for checking on all those stupid injuries. I guess the solution is universal conscription

Not every grad program requires the GRE if you've been out for a few years. :shrug:

I can't believe that after being exposed to so many miniseries with good actors, good plots, good writing, high production values, and various degrees of explicit nudity/violence like The Wire, True Detective, Rome, Downton Abbey season 1, etc people still get excited over some sweaty nerd's medieval West Wing slashfic where a six year old becomes an assassin and there's a sassy midget as comic relief or whatever.

In case you guys don't bother to read the big red server announcements at the top of the page, CHANGE YOUR PASSWORDS. OpenSSL had a major security breach that resulted in people being able to use a rather simple Python scripts to trawl for log-in/password information for any site that uses OpenSSL for security.

SA was effected by this but it was patched this morning, so any password you make now should be ok.
