Trying to do sinner invasions in NG. So far 2 out 5 people were hackers with infinite hp and stamina, both wearing Faraam armor. Also I used a cracked blue orb in the castle and i invaded someone in Brightstone?

Goddamn I will never put down a sign at the castle again. Everyone runs into the room with tons of ruin sentinels and gets killed.

I can use red orbs without any problems. Usually invade within 5-10 seconds of me using it.

Yeah but you need to keep mashing it. There are not many sinners in NG! (yet)

At what time do people normally open Huntsman's Copse? I'm at soul memory 500k and have been through the Bastille through both ends, and I just met the lady who opens the path. I've started going around clearing each area completely until nothing is left alive, that whiny old McDuff turned out to be quite useful when he dropped a titanite slab. :haw:

I'd say it's moreso that with melee you have this nice, linear, gradual increase in power as the game goes on.

With casters you start getting tools that vastly outclass previous ones casting spells that are absurdly powerful. The moment you get even one instance of Soul Geyser your boss killing power jumps up to a point where nearly every boss is trivial. On top of that, it's really easy to farm multiple instances of Soul Geyser.

Kind of hard to believe that soul geyser actually dealt almost twice the damage before the Nerf.

That and there were 2 separate invaders but they were just chilling, there was no '****sucker420supreme has invaded'

Can anyone shed any light on what went on here??

When using the small soapstone, sometimes when the summoner challenges the boss I get a message saying he went to another world and I'm sent back to mine. What causes this? it seems to happen when we've been killing a bunch of stuff on the way to the boss but not enough to fulfill my duty. It's annoying beacuase I don't get back my humanity and I feel like a dick for ditching him to fight the boss alone.

There isnt a boss there actually. Its a hosts misconception that they can bring summons to the pursuer in iron keep for example.

So ive tested out if you can progress in the brotherhood of blood with just invasions. Turns out you can't! I've killed dragonrider/chariot only with this character and invaded one host for a token of spite. I'm now sitting on 60 and I still haven't gained a rank, so BoB really gain only ranks from dueling.

So to ever get Rank 3 you have to be the worlds most patient PVP savant.

I've realised that there are almost no interesting bosses in this game, neither in mechanics, backstory, or design. They're all just dodge -> smack (With a handful of exceptions, but even Chariot turns into that after phase 1). The only real difficulty is that they can either do so much damage that they one-shot you, or they can stunlock you to death.
Using any kind of magic does, as I'm sure everyone has picked up by now, make the game a complete joke.

Ah well, it was fun while it lasted. Time to move on to something else.

Bosses in Dark Souls 1 are no different. What exactly do you expect out of a souls boss? This game really is lacking an Artorias/Manus kind of Boss though. Freja is probably the most uncommon boss design wise.
