I just want Metal Face or Xord to be stage bosses and as for a playable character? There isn't a main cast member that wouldn't have a bunch of fun moves and systems to translate into Smash.

Here is my theory. The two part E3 Smash + mystery game presentation will be a normal smash presser that has the normal reveals at the end but one of them is for a new character so new it will be the star of the mystery game presentation and that game is Mother 4.

Shigesato Itoi has the time. Nintendo has a few studios with unknown projects. The dude can find time inbetween Iron Chefs and short stories. Could always be the biggest troll and they do a "Shigesato Itoi presents "Number 2 Bass fishing!" for the 3ds!

PS or reverse troll us and hes reprising his role Totoro 2. Coming to theaters and 3ds via Ghibli/EAD.

Chrom is the closest Sakurai's come to breaking the unwritten "main characters first" rule, but Robin is still the MAIN main character of Awakening, and Marth is also present as the lead for the series overall.

If Sakurai looked at Xenoblade, I wouldn't expect him to skip Shulk, especially since Shulk's sword has powers that would make him a pretty unique fighter.

It would be a real shame if they had to include 3 characters from Xenoblade. A REAL SHAME.

I haven't enjoyed a jrpg since chrono trigger (I don't count the weird mario rpgs), terrible tropes and lovely characters in series such as Tales of ________ games and the hours upon days of grinding other jrpgs have turned me off. The enjoyment I have had with Xenoblade is a gulf separating in my mind Xenoblade from those games. Its comparing Doom Faceball. Shulk being in with Metalface is the bees knees.

Have you speeds even debated the deeper meanings yet? Like why it's called Earthbound or Mother 2.
See Earth is the realm that the protagonists are Bound to, as if they are giving up escaping it.
As far as the Mother naming system, I'm sure we can all agree that it's kind of hard to have more then one Mother.
I hope this is discussed for many more pages or until the next election year.

Since it only contains the word "earth" and not "bound" it's moot. Smash thread is only for arguing the translations of names that will never impact the game in any meaningful way so we should get back to it, instead of how stoked I am for Shulk.
