I thought he was gonna be the contact for a mini-arc about the Prime Directive and intervention in the case of a widespread and very preventable illness in a pre-warp but near warp civilization. That the plague that's threatening the species presents first as an oral infection and loss of teeth is just sort of a secret joke.

So why is it a big fancy thing that you can claim the consoles on these particular ships repeatedly, that would cause a rush to buy them?

Yeah. Ish.

Keep in mind, you can pay for anything in STO by earning Dilithium in-game and converting it to Zen, the real money currency. It's actually at a fairly reasonable rate.

This is only true for a very specific definition of reasonable. About how long does the daily 8500 Dilithium take to grind out, these days? Because at current prices, it's that amount of time for 55 cents worth of Zen.

I have curiosity. Aux2Bat is no longer the pro PvE build, okay, that's cool. I have a Fed Tac Alien who's got a Galor and a Corvette sitting in her hangar, if Aux2Bat is basic poo poo nowadays then what's a fancy way to rig a Galor?

By the same token though, the Galaxy class is, in universe, a 50 year-old ship.

The M16 is 68 years old, but the M16A4 revision is still the primary armament for America's military, and more than half of our aircraft carriers are the 39-year-old Nimitz class. Just because it's a tried and true design doesn't mean the internals aren't state-of-the-art.

It actually makes a certain amount of sense when you consider consoles. There would be literally no reason to ever buy the Valdore if it didn't have the Valdore console, but if the Valdore was T5 (or T6) then you might only buy the Valdore, and not also buy an end game ship. By putting useful consoles on essentially useless ships, they encourage you to buy more.

E: Basically what others already said, but with the added reason that putting good consoles on useless ships forces more buying.

Oh, it absolutely makes sense from an exploitative F2P point of view, it just doesn't make sense from a reasonable value of purchase point of view.

I remember back when I played SWTOR, there was a grapple gun you could get, which you needed to get some collectibles. Just like what Luke used! Except what it was was there were specific interactables in places, and you had to get in range of the grapple point and click it, and then you'd be sent to the grapple point. So it wasn't really any sort of Just Cause grappling fun, just basically another kind of key.

I suspect this'll be more like that.

Stupid PVP. I guess you could give projectiles an inherent penalty to shield bleedthrough so that the damage you take on a full shield facing is consistent, but that'd make the math more complicated.

Or just give players a small amount of hidden kinetic resist.

Well, for PVP, you have to worry about Beam Overload shenanigans to blast a shield open right before the HV volley lands.

I know people don't always like to hear it, but what about just flat-out changing the damage numbers if the target's a PC?

More like...900 or so, I think?

Kinetic vs Shield cuts the raw damage by about 90% before anything else, but in cases like the one you mention I'm not sure how much gets through and how much gets absorbed.

If it's 1000 before, and shields cut it by 90%, then I think you'd be seeing 189 hull damage - 100 for bleedthrough, leaving 900 which is reduced to 90 and then eats up the 1 shield.

If I understand it correctly, that is. And a Transphasic doing 1000 would instead do 513?

When is a +stealth trait relevant to a boff?

Depends which trait you're talking about. If it's ground, not much, but who cares. If it's space, then you must mean either Subterfuge, Infiltrator, or Romulan Operative, all three of which are excellent traits and a big part of why the Scimitar, and Romulans in general, are so drat good.

I recall this came up before. No, according to the episode and Memory Alpha, it was the duplicate Voyager that got blown up, and the original Kim that died.

The Multiple Choice Mark Packages, such as the one listed as a reward for the Mirror Invasion Event, do not list Delta Marks as a choice.
This is only missing text as Delta Marks are a choice once the pack is opened.
The Mirror Invasion event Ad incorrectly states the event is limited to level 50 characters and lists a special Duty Officer as a reward.
This event is for level 50 – 60 Captains.
The special reward is the Zefram Cochrane Shotgun.
