There's also a purple jem'hadae dude (Etak'kas, IIRC) who gives your heal turrets a chance to spawn a shield turret alongside.

That said, it is what I roll with on my main guy. At least, when the wifi's good enough...

Are you trying to run an aux2bat build? If so, I'm pretty sure aux2ID interferes with the aux2bat cooldown and will lower it's effectiveness quite a bit. Aux2ID doesn't actually get used much beyond occasionally showing off; it's even bound to a hard-to-accidentally-press number. In terms of further space gear, what I gleaned from goonchatte is that I want undine deflector/engines and dyson shield. Fleet crit chance tet consoles are a given, but I think I put them on the backburner, maybe? I also am not sure why I got advanced engines, maybe the elite can't have [spd]x3? I've got the full Aegis set, mostly in the bank though. I've got a decent handful of different set stuff in the bank, but it'll be a little while before I can double-check what, specifically. I really wish I'd laid out my plan in a .txt file to refer to since I've obviously forgotten a lot. Having upgraded my sweet ride I've got an extra eng console slot and I'm having trouble deciding what to put in there. A fleet dilmine console seems like overkill given the 'vette's strengths, and the gimmicks are all so numerous at this point it's hard to narrow them down. I'm also having severe choice paralysis when it comes to what I upgrade first. I think that's everything I was wondering about space-wise; I'm going to try and avoid worrying about ground until either I've gotten space sorted out or I have to worry about it.

I have gotten super lovely about actually keeping up with this thread, looks like I picked a grand ol' time to catch up. What really sucks is PWE will probably just use this as justification for further bilking (is that the right word?) of the playerbase. I feel like a less player-hostile thing to do would be convert all pilot/command/intel seats to just general specialist seats, but with like a synergy bonus for matching the right kind of specialist to the seats--something so if you really wanted intel powers on a command ship you could, but it'd generally be more effective just to use an intel ship. That way, when they release a new spec, you can try and at least get a feel for the new toys on your existing ships before deciding to knuckle down and getting the new ships. Of course, since this isn't player-hostile, it'll never happen.

The only thing I remember from launch ESD that went away were all the extra rooms for buying ships and gear and spending exploration sector tokens. I guess they just moved everything onto ESD proper to cut down on map transfers?

The corvette remains, in my opinion, the best ship in the game; definitely in its tier, and even better than a lot of T6 ships. I'm still convinced a T6 version would be the best thing since Sisko socking Q.
