e: ^^^^ yeah

yes. if you click the button it works fine. if you scroll manually, it stops to load new things several times after you reach what you think is the top.

maybe if you have a super duper internet connection it isn't as obvious but regardless it breaks the mapping people already have with "when it stops scrolling, you are at the top"

communism doesn't work because people in general are greedy and the people in charge are especially greedy and gently caress it up for everyone.

this is also the reason that capitalism doesn't work, incidentally.

apple should just embrace what the apple spergs already do and start a year/model thing. the 2015 macbook air, available in regular size or with extended wheelbase.

a plane with the same capabilities of an f-22 without a pilot is going to cost the same as an f-22 with a pilot, how hard is that to understand

yes thanks for that brilliant insight

a plane doesn't need to have the same capabilities as an f-22 because the f-22 itself is doctrinally unnecessary. you can put up a drone loaded with ten amraams and the same radar set and have 95% of the functionality. a plane that can sustain 9g is not going to significantly improve the odds of a hit with a missile that's capable of 40g

the chinese air force is mostly sitting at a 1960s-70s level of technology right now, with a few things comparable to the f-15c (ie the usa's last generation air superiority fighter) and they only have one partially functional aircraft carrier that they bought from the russians. they aren't a threat to the usa.

i'd like to cite an author who, i feel, makes my point very effectively:

quote:

You don’t need no gun control, you know what you need? We need some bullet control. Men, we need to control the bullets, that’s right. I think all bullets should cost five thousand dollars… five thousand dollars per bullet… You know why? Cause if a bullet cost five thousand dollars there would be no more innocent bystanders.
Yeah! Every time somebody get shut we’d say, ‘drat, he must have done something ... poo poo, he’s got fifty thousand dollars worth of bullets in his rear end.’
And people would think before they killed somebody if a bullet cost five thousand dollars. ‘Man I would blow your loving head off…if I could afford it.’ ‘I’m gonna get me another job, I’m going to start saving some money, and you’re a dead man. You’d better hope I can’t get no bullets on layaway.’
So even if you get shot by a stray bullet, you wouldn't have to go to no doctor to get it taken out. Whoever shot you would take their bullet back, like "I believe you got my property.

(note that google's current prototype, the one that looks like :downs:, actually has no manual controls at all)

the lidar also costs $70,000 iirc so these cars aren't quite mass market ready yet.

also unfortunately, process airbag.exe has stopped, etc.
