DrBouvenstein posted:I'm also curious how that works...is it like a RAID array? You get the total space between the two mSD cards, but you're basically forced to only read and write to the cards if they're in that enclosure? According to someone who answered a question on Amazon it treats it like a RAID 0 array and you get the sum of the two cards' capacity.

null_pointer posted:And therein lies the problem; do I drop an extra $300 or so on two additional tires, just so I can rotate them, or do I just buy two so that I can buy other cool things and then post in this thread? This depends on how far the tread is worn on the other two tires. If they're relatively close to needing to be replaced (<50% treadlife remaining) might as well do it all at once, a substantial difference in tread depth can be hazardous even on an undriven axle. Worn rear tires on a FWD car can cause the rear to fishtail and potentially spin the car out under heavy braking and/or slippery road conditions.

Gorilla Salad posted:I wouldn't even know where to buy a cylindrical mower. But in a dry climate, I'm really curious now as to how big a difference it makes. Think of it as the difference between cutting something with a sharp pair of scissors vs swinging a fairly dull blade at something. One will cut it cleanly, the other tears at the point of impact. I used a push reel mower for the first two years I lived at my house, the grass was visibly healthier compared with using a traditional gas-powered mower.

That's because the only companies that manufacture powered reel mowers market them to golf courses and millionaires who want their lawn to look like a golf course. The only reel mowers that fit into a working class budget tend to be push-powered.

Tamping your grounds into the reusable cup helps, as does using a slightly finer grind than drip. But yeah, seems the best a keurig is capable of is coffee on the good side of mediocre. I'd rather just use my french press.

Borrowed a French cuff shirt from a friend for an interview on Monday, he only has cufflinks with Freemason symbols and I'm terrified if I borrowed them one of the interviewers would be a mason, and would ask me some secret passphrase and/or engage in some secret handshake, etc. Also gently caress buying men's jewelery locally, Men's Wearhouse wanted $40 for a similar pair and I'll probably wear them one time.

The ACA severely reeled in what you can buy with FSA. Pretty much everything that isn't a prescription was removed from the list, whereas previously you could pretty much buy anything over the counter that was vaguely health care related. If you could get your doctor to somehow justify needing a bicycle you might be able to pull it off but I wouldn't bet on it.

Now that I'm gainfully employed again I replaced my LG L90 (basically LG's version of the Moto G) with a OPO in sandstone black. Initial impression is it's a very good phone, but I don't know if it quite lives up to the "flagship killer" label they gave it. Can't beat the price for what you get though, and I'm more than happy to be slightly behind the bleeding edge in exchange for not spending nearly $1000 on a phone. Only real complaints are lack of external storage, the capacitive button backlighting could be a bit brighter and lack of accessories. Geoj has a new favorite as of 03:58 on Jul 3, 2015 |
