The Russo-esque shades of gray by every character and the absence of Daniel Bryan have completely obliterated any interest or enthusiasm I had about WWE, and I was really enthused after WM30. One week Cesaro is shaking hands, the next week he isn't, one week Sheamus is stealing titles and being a prick and the next week he's being a good sport and shaking hands. No one has any idea what they're doing or where it's going. Shield/Evolution and Barrett are the only bright spots in this poo poo period. Didn't think much of the crowd last night either, I appreciated Paul Heyman ripping on the audience for hijacking the show and trying to get themselves over. If you're going to chant stupid poo poo like JBL and Jerry because you're bored, do it during a drat Santino match and not when Cesaro and Sheamus are hossing out on each other and putting on a good show. Alicia spent about twice as long on the barricade than was shown, and dropped the crown like half a dozen times. I can only assume Lawler was pissed it kept getting dropped from that high onto the floor and into the crowd.

Much like "TNA stupid" or "WCW stupid", the phrase "Russo-esque" should be used very carefully. Now let me preface this by saying pretty much the only things keeping me watching while Bryan's gone are the still generally good matches, the amount that I love The Shield, the fact that I get every PPV now thanks to the Network, and force of habit. I agree that the set of storylines they have right now kind of sucks except Shield/Evolution (and I can see why some people might be bored with that). Having said all that, I genuinely think they planned to turn Sheamus heel, then paused due to the Bryan injury. Makes sense. Cesaro is clearly a heel, but they're having him do things to plant seeds of him turning on Heyman. Also makes sense. Nothing Russo would do would follow any sort of logic. Personal net worth is by and large a really silly concept used by dumb people trying to rank who is "richer", and Vince has the same amount of money he did before the stock price fell (from its previously inflated value). He's not selling his shares in the company, and if he ever did it would be to another corporate entity for a negotiated price that would not be equal to the closing price of the shares at the time of the sale.

I mean, the share price is still up like 17% YTD and the dividend has remained constant. There's all this "Vince McMahon lost $350 million in a week!" schadenfreude nonsense, but at the same time there at the height of the bubble there weren't any articles claiming he 'made' $500 million in the preceding year, and for good reason.
