I am of the opinion that there's enough games out right now to justify at least getting a refurb one. There's still games on the horizon, too. Also goons aren't in charge of Nintendo so they'll likely keep supporting it and won't be going to making cell phone games in the near future.

Just buy a Wii-U you would have spent the money on the steam sale buying games you'll never play anyways. At least you'll have a physical trophy when years from now people buy a wii-u just out of the novelty factor and you can say yep, I own a Wii-U.

A Wii U with Mario Kart nets you a free Pikmin 3 or Zelda, plus eShop credit if you get the deluxe or whatever, so there's more free poo poo. Then you just buy Super Mario 3D World or Donkey Kong and boom, you have yourself a worthwhile console and many games to enjoy until Smash Bros comes out plus whatever else Nintendo announces at E3. Wii U good. Use your PC for everything else.

Keep in mind a basic white 8 gig Wii U won't be able to download a full game like Pikmin, you'd need external storage for that I purposely got a basic 8 gig because I like my Nintendo consoles in white lol
