I think they came up with the trading card idea after seeing how much retards would pay for TF2/dota hats and the result was something even less substantial than virtual cosmetic items. They're just trying to see what they can get away with at this point.

dota hats are marvelously cheap. i sell cards and buy cool dota outfits the most expensive thing i've gotten was wizard hat for lina and it was 50 cents? and i sold a foil card just before that

I got a lovely dota item from all these magical question cards. These are evil cards OP, they try and stray you down the dark path of MOBAS. Discard them all and don't look back.
