I enjoyed this video immensely. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HsgXWPRbKQE I'm guessing that in the states that would have ended in some sort of strobe-light super taser making everyone breakdance in the middle of the courtroom floor? There is a longer version as well, if you would like to watch a non-MET police force crowd controlhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkM3Hc9Opxg The Met would have just kettled them for 50 hours until they were so dehydrated they would be drinking their own piss.

Mind boggles what would happen if they tried that in a sheriff court up here. Always imagine the sheriff would turn the firehouse on anyone that disrupted things for more than 10 seconds, they are pretty darn no nonsense.

Thanks, PM sent. edit: I know I'll get dog piled for this but there was a good 1/2 second I was gonna look over the app because it said San Francisco. I'm from the general area and my current job will virtually never let me get back to the west coast let alone CA but bleghhhhh paycut. If you agreed to go to San Francisco they'd probably give you a blowjob on the spot. They're so desperate for bodies out there, no one wants to leave DC. New hires are signing mobility agreements

I get it, even with COLA out there it's beyond pricy to live. I've never not had to sign a mobility waiver. Are there many FLEO jobs where you don't? DC just isn't for me. Which is (coincidentally) where work wants me at for my next gig

My class didn't get a mobility agreement. Apparently it was a screw-up in the hiring announcement and the union told them to gently caress off when they tried to put it in after the fact.

Had a juvenile burglary/unlawful entry suspect the other night demand to see our warrant giving us permission to search the house he was in. This was after a large group of "kids" broke in to a house to have a party, tore the place up, destroyed some things, stole some things, etc. The best part of that call though was after securing everyone in the house some of the juveniles were released to their parents, most of whom could give a gently caress that their precious little Johnny just committed a felony. When they turn 18 and start crying in the back of my cruiser on the way to jail because nothing your special little flower ever did wrong was a "big deal" oh well. In other news we've officially transitioned to external vests and all black uniforms. Jack Boot Status: Engaged.

It's a regular uniform shirt underneath, it's basically just a neat professional looking outer vest carrier.

Didn't Wisconsin or whatever just charge 2 12 y/o's as adults because they stabbed the poo poo out of one of their friends because of a monster in the woods or some poo poo? Why were they released if evidence showed they were thieves?

For most juvenile arrests the kids are simply booked, given a court date & released to the parents. Juvenile holding facilities are few & far between, we don't make that drive unless the kid is actually dangerous/harmed someone. Are anyone elses "mental health professional's" as loving worthless as ours? The other night I responded to a call of a man with a gun in the yard ready to shoot himself. I get to the house and no poo poo he's in the backyard on his knees, hunched over deepthroating a 25 ACP. Me and 2 other guys hold him at gunpoint until I finally talk him into dropping the gun. We secure the weapon, cuff him up, take him into protective custody and put him in a holding cell until our "mental health professional" comes down to evaluate. Well the evaluation happened after I had already ended my shift and I find out later that they interview the guy and come to the conclusion that he "doesn't meet the criteria". What the gently caress. Apparently my officer's affidavits are useless now. I've taken in and seen them commit people who for sure weren't going to do poo poo and they let this guy walk. At least he was a felon and I'm charging him with possession of a firearm AFC and possession of a firearm while intoxicated so he gets to go to the county jail.

The final straw was after his third release (within a 12-hour shift) and fought one of my partners in the street. A major shoulder injury later and my partner retired thanks to those shitheads not wanting to do their loving job.

Juvenile holding facilities are few & far between, we don't make that drive unless the kid is actually dangerous/harmed someone. That's the procedure here too. We arrest them, call the office of juvenile affairs to see what they want to do, 99% of the time they don't want them, and then we have their parents sign a promise to appear in court and then release them to their parents. Basically the kids here know nothing is happening besides a court date and they do whatever the hell they want. I will do anything I can not to arrest a juvi because sometimes we end up waiting hours before a parent can pick them up. I really hate arresting kids for domestic A&B against a parent and I just tell the parents look, I hook this kid, we release him right back to you, you go to court and guess what, you end up paying all these court costs.
