Kvlt! posted:Just curious, I dont even know if this exists. Do you guys know any fusions of folk/acoustic music and rap? I love horrocore but have been trying to expand into other genres of rap, and I was wondering if it ever fused with folk music (which I also love) or bluegrass. Just testing the waters, it might not. Thanks guys! 21 pilots maybe? They fall into the whole conscious rapper trap hard though

Another Person posted:Old is probs one of my favourite albums in rap, so I disagree, just listen to Float On and tell me that is not the most mortal thing you have ever heard coming from the immortal king of pills that is Danny Brown. It is such a shockingly stark, yet perfect ending to an album, probably my fave closer ever. Float On is honestly one of my favorite rap songs of all time. It hits the same note that Book of Soul does, which is incredibly hard to pull off IMO.

Need more listens but on first listen it's a lot more coherent than doris albeit runs together more It really gets better with each listen, the songs really start to come to their own (on top of having the overall coherency) with it. e: DNA is definitely the weakest track on it though.
