what he's describing there is exactly what games for windows live did and it hasn't even been a year and a half since microsoft shut that down

even by microsoft standards that's pretty bad

also lol at refusing to work with steam because some mid-to-high-level manager complained about being compatible with a rival's service (which is probably what that incoherent nonsense he spouted translates to)

what i noticed in the first 5 minutes of use
- it's a "modern app" so the top bar doesn't work the same way as normal programs (can't double click to maximize)
- loading splash screen
- bing is locked as the only search engine
- no extensions
- no password manager
- no way to configure where downloads are saved
- bookmarks bar doesn't display properly ON NORMAL DPI
- scroll bar overlaps web page content
- imgur doesn't work at all - can't drag/drop files OR use the browse button

the thing that bothered me the little bit i used one is that it doesn't seem able to auto-sense when you tap a text-entry so you have to manually pop up the on-screen keyboard, which makes it kind of garbage as a tablet.

i also mentioned in the gray forums that win 10 isn't a great touch os and someone responded "no it's great if you use the pen!" which, well, that says everything.
