Pinterest Mom posted:Just like anything luxury that you buy, like great handbags or a pair of shoes or even expensive cars, there is a care that’s needed for the device. And so from the materials perspective, we will ask customers — specifically customers who might stain it or drop something on it — to go ahead and wipe that right away. There’s a simple way of doing that with a microfiber with a soap and water solution on it. You don’t need any special chemical and you can wipe it off. Then just care [for it in the same way] that would go into anything that luxurious. That’s more of a periodical thing, not super frequent, something you might look at doing every six months or something. And so if you think of the livelihood of this laptop, somewhere between four and five years, it’s not that often you have to do it in terms of taking care of it. isn't this aimed at the education market do kids take care of anything, including things they actually own

I like how they ignore their huge forevermarket of business users and instead aim for the consumer market, but two years ago, and in doing so gently caress up their business products so much their users actually start matching out how much it will cost to move away

the latest office patch breaks attachments in rtf emails if the filename ends in punctuation which would probably be minimal impact for normal people but our lob app only sends emails in rtf so guess what

the two things I really miss from 10 when I go back to 7 are the improvements to cmd.exe copy and paste and the right click context menu for the start menu. but in some recent update they took the real control panel out of the start right click menu which is bullshit. also if you pin apps to the start menu it creates a live tile and no matter how many you have it creates like a 4 tile wide dead space with one tile in it. lamo
