The last half or so of the game, from the last few gyms to the elite four, is fighting against the same single enemy type almost exclusively. gently caress that it was even worse in whichever one made Team Aqua the main enemies, then you're fighting nothing but water types for the entire game.

I liked it because my starter was Mudkip. So when I beat the elite four with just Swampert I felt like I had become the king of water pokemon. On a side note, killing other water pokemon with muddy water was awesome.

Sometimes you'd be a band of medieval knights making camp before a great battle, or a group of criminals hiding out from the sheriff, or maybe you'd just find a good old fashioned drunken vagrant huddled inside I mourn for the youth of today
