It should also be noted that General Ironicus ended up getting too pissed off by the game's bullshit to finish it.

Not technically a LP, but Voice of Dog's Knock Knock stream recordings were plenty spooky. I don't think he ever finished it though.

Though I might be reading into your intent wrong.

Knock-Knock is a good game, but I don't know how well it lends itself to LP format.

Either you explain how the game mechanics work and take away some tension, or you don't and the viewer is just kind of in the dark, which you could just get by playing it yourself.

A bit off topic, but I'm trying to remember the name of an old LP. It was of some indie game translated from Czech I believe, and it was a sort of fantasy game where you never got to do anything important, everyone insulted you, and you just kept getting sent to do disgusting menial tasks. I don't know if it was ever archived, but I remember that it was finished.

It's nowhere near as cheesy or goofy as the first Phantasmagoria; granted it's pretty dated, but it had a positive homosexual character, some pretty graphic violence, and some incredibly awkward sex scenes. If anything, the pacing of the game is a bit poo poo at times but davidspackage works well enough with it.

I'd want to recommend Ripper: http://lparchive.org/Ripper/ as well but that one ended up being pretty cheesy. I just saw Harvester and figured you might be fine with some level of cheese.

Blister was always a pretty weird guy; I still remember when he green screened himself in the nude for the L4D LP. But Cryostasis was him being as straight as I ever saw him, which also reminds me he did the Blair Witch Project games as well...but those were a train wreck.

I still remember the fallout from his appearance in Faceguy's Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Door LP.

So much blood.

I'm a big fan of narrative in Let's Play - does anyone have any good recommendations for Let's Plays where the LP writer writes their own dialogue for the characters? I know a few years back [before I even signed up for the forums!] I read a pretty good one about Animal Crossing, although that one, let's just say, went sort of... off the rails :o:. I'm looking for something that's a little more traditionally an LP... preferably something ongoing too, because I like being able to look forward to updates. Cheers!

The Dark Id's stuff is pretty good. He does that for most games, with the exception of Nier, which he liked too much to bother editing in new dialogue.

imagine an LPer is LPing Sonic Adventure 2 during a gigantic flood or something, he is so close to finishing the let's play as his house floods with water. He slowly says goodbye to his co-commentators as he and shadow the hedgehog heroically meet their ends together

I've really enjoyed those rare LPs where the LPer invents the narrative, like the spooky Animal Crossing one, or that weird space trading merchant game thingy I can't recall the name of. Ahem, anyway, anything like that? Especially over the last year or so, as I've been quite inactive in this time.

Does anyone remember an LP a while back about this weird Japanese PSP game where you were some kind of office worker in Hell and you had to do a series of deliberately unfun and insulting minigames?
