Star Citizen is low hanging fruit guys you're better than that.

Sometimes I wish I had nerdier friends just so I could actually play poo poo like these spaceship bridge simulators (Sorry about the video, there are literally no videos of this game being played that are not terrible in some way):

They're all about it as a "look at us star trek" perspective, but gently caress that I want badass space navy battles out of my lovely pulp sci-fi novels, and the games would accommodate them.

This game is something I might actually get other people to play with me, except that other people are assholes so it would probably just be dick-ships flying into everything:

Transcending history, and the world, a tale of MS Paint and animes, endlessly retold.
I play Artemis on the reg and it is pretty cool with the right group of people, it just doesn't have enough variety to be fun more than twice a year.

Stoned captain is worst captain.

no man's sky looks real purdy but it really feels like the developers are still struggling to figure out the "game" part

Starbound mainly because for some reason my computer has trouble playing the beta with multiple npcs or rain on screen.

OP said Star Citizen was a low hanging fruit

However Star Citizen is an uninspired not-real-game that ripped off this indie darling:

Ftl is a better voyager game than voyager: 1337 force so it has that going for it

Best Voyager game was the Arcade game based on the TV series.

A wolf howls.
I know how he feels.
does it have to be a space sim or just anything involving astronauts?

lifeless planet sounds interesting because i like games where i can wander around and climb poo poo but it also looks really boring because of how....lifeless everything is in steam's preview images.
