Just remembered another fallacy of switching the Tesla and Sticky Grenade Launchers just because "They want all Engie frames to be able to use the Tesla". All T1 weapons have some alternate, except the Burrowing Sticky Launcher is now for one advanced frame only, and just what the hell would they specialize the Tesla into? Feels like a last minute idea with no regards to how it conflicts with the game itself.

Played a bit today after a short break. Chosen Thumpers feel hilariously ironic, finally getting to harass them instead, the thumpers come with their own turrets and my god do they hurt, it's like a sniper rifle that pings you for 11k damage and seldom misses. Still, I love it and its nice to see the expanded area. Edit: Inimicul posted:Welp. We've just hit the army member cap. Time to start a plan B.

Can answer that last bit at least. Higher level modules increase the 'Power Level' of your frame while equipped, which adds roughly 1% Health/Damage/Healing, as for the effects of the modules, that is based on it's quality. The +1 Deploy Module seems, intentionally handicapped. Im sure even a Lv40 Purple wouldn't even have +2

With a group of 3-4 people you could probably lock down every stage of a mission and complete them really quickly. Could be tricky as each mission has about 3 possible spawn locations per segment. Though I suppose if you were to hop in and out of the area, it forces the mission segment to re-roll it's location.

Mildly humiliating but expected for non PvP perks. Got my rear end handed in Broken Peninsula a few times, being on the defensive doesn't help- Apparently hit and runs and harassing bases is fairly easy, just grab the enemy health pad, and while that's waiting for a regen fly around using their own glider. AoE and DoT seems to be king, you don't get hit by anyone much, but just the matter of getting hit once by them means you're hosed. Recluse seems to be the spray and play class, who needs to aim when you can spam out clouds every half second that cover a 3 meter area to do 30k damage over time. Ouch. Edit: Tip, don't use a Health Regen Core, you'll be lucky to be standing after three splash hits. JonusRockweller fucked around with this message at 03:14 on Jul 24, 2014 |

And while you can craft a bike in game, you'll have to wait till Lv25 and before then you'll most likely be doing 8km jobs in Shanty for a while.

The hilarious thing I notice about the MGV is that you can actually flip it over, where as the bike won't go past a certain angle to protect itself. Also, dismounting a flipped MGV can result in falling through the world, or getting stuck half way into the ground. I had to literally run over a squad mate just so he could "hop back in" to get out of the ground. Edit: Anyone see if launching an LGV or MGV is possible with an enemy thunderdome? Don't forget to check your emails, Red5 is giving out free RedBeans available until the 31st and you'll need to click it's big shiny link to get them. '92 Red Beans' is certainly a random number, unsure if that's a fixed number, random, or if something influences it.

You may have to disable it temporarily or what not. It's a real bitch to get working with NOD32 every micropatch. Any sort of process manager will lock itself once you try to kill the FirefallClient.exe, I'm sure Nalin has had a few good laughs at how many times I have to forcefully restart my computer because of it, sometimes it bugs out so hard it prevents the actual restart process from initiating so I have to cold boot it.

The one off bikes are slower than the Red Bean'd bikes, you still wont get incredible distance off the ramp but at least with the new handling its more functional (You used to just crash into the lowest point and kill your velocity). People do buy weapons and mods but the way the economy and 'power rating' is at the moment, some people will only buy Lv40 Purples unless they're desperate. The fastest selling thing are Uranium Cores, difficult to get but it's about the only thing that hasn't been engulfed with a surplus to have it's price tank completely. Though, I've heard some of the lowest quality materials haven't tanked to a 1:1 yet, most Uranium spinoffs already have.

On that note, you're lucky if a sonic detonator can do 58~115 damage, but even a lv1 frame can do over 1000 damage with melee. Wonder how the no-bullet rule would be enforced, pure bullet reflecting mobs?

I notice Firefall is still acting extremely 'safe' since the full release, which was already apparent when they dropped everything for the current leveling system and resources. OCT is the new Chosen Invasion, but its still no where near the disorganized clusterfuck it used to be, the only time you'll see more than 20 chosen hounding on your rear end is when you're dropping a Squad Thumper and you don't clear out drop pods. Its just so very... Tame. Sorry, nostalgia bug hit me and went back to watching some videos from last September and all I could think was, "drat that looks fun, why don't we have that now?". Current Firefall infrastructure probably couldn't handle it, certainly couldn't back then but at least we still got to enjoy it while it lasted. I still have a hard time coming up with a valid reason why anyone new should play the game. JonusRockweller fucked around with this message at 18:57 on Aug 19, 2014 |
