Should I give it another shot? I felt like the formula of SimCity 2000 was just so good. It was complex, but ultimately had a very simple vision: you build a loving city and it runs and bad things happen sometimes and you deal with them. SimCity 4 added in a buncha gay poo poo I didn't like, like caring about individual people and what not. They also moved all the menus around in weird places, too. What's your impinion?

I like Simcity 2000 for it's simplicity. In 4 I have to build an entire region of cities and it's impossible to keep the budget in check.

gently caress that, Sim City on SNES. When you get fed up with that poo poo, you feed the city to Bowser.

Same, OP. I modded SC4 like crazy and it still doesn't feel like it's the equal of sc2000.

I found 3(000)? to be a good successor to 2000. It gets a little cartoony and doesn't have angry beard road man, but it gives you a bigger zone and has a few improvements over 2000.
