We're in the process of fixing search, so in order to do that we've had to pay a dba thousands of dollars to repair the broken databases and merge them together again. This process will result in forum downtime as they do this, which they claim will be a maximum of four hours. I don't know much about databases, but I reviewed all episodes of Star Trek with respect to Warp Core engineering and if you plan to make a repair such as this (which is clearly equivalent to opening the antimatter containment) then you need to take the Warp Core offline - otherwise you risk destroying the ship. Hope this answers your question.
