Just turned on iCloud Photo Library. Is there a way to import older pictures I've taken on previous iPhones? Like I have a gigantic folder in my Dropbox of photos from another iPhone I had and none of these pictures are in my iCloud Photo Library and I'd like them to be.

I think I got dark sky for free at some point. I just throw the app into my useless poo poo folder anyway since all I care about is it notifying me that it's gonna rain within a few minutes. Not like I ever need to open the app for that b

Ok so Live Photos are kind of neat actually. But is there a way to choose which "time" I want a still photo from? I thought this would be an obvious thing (oh no the baby blinked, but she's smiling 0.2 seconds earlier) but I don't see a way to do this.

I heard on Gruber's podcast recently that the Facebook app was doing some sketchy stuff like playing inaudible sounds on loop to keep it running in the background even if you mark the option that Facebook should not refresh/update in the background. Dunno how true this is but that's pretty hosed up. Sadly I need to know exactly when people comment or like my #foodporn #selfies so the mobile website won't work for me  (Seriously though, can I upload pictures through the mobile website?)

I set DDG as my default search engine on my phone but I always ended up adding a "!g" to my searches to force a Google search anyway because DDG search is just awful or Google search is just that good, whichever way you want to look at it. I just changed back to defaulting to Google cause it's just better. e: is there a way to bypass those videos on YouTube that are like "this video has been flagged 18+, please log in to a Google account and confirm your age" messages in YouTube videos without actually signing on to anything? It's YouTube so it's not even porn but like that new Deadpool trailer for example is flagged as 18+.

How much will it cost me to bring my iPhone to an Apple Store and have them replace my screen? I dropped it without the almighty leather case and there's a fracture at the top part, not even over the actual screen but it's annoying to look at. I don't have apple care but it should still be under warranty I think. Also, have they said anything about adding bicycle time support to the travel time part of calendars at all?

Okay real question time that I've googled but can't really find any information: How the hell do locations and travel time work in calendar events? I thought travel time would update the travel time needed based on your location at this very moment but I've read conflicting reports that it takes the location that you entered as the starting point. I thought and assumed choosing "current location" as the starting point would mean to constantly update my travel time but it doesn't appear to be the case? How come sometimes I can choose the travel time by car and hit save and then when I go back to edit the travel time, it's no longer selected the "car" version but has instead selected the literal x minute option? How come for other events it will actually stay on the "car" version when I save it and go back to edit it? Does this even work it feels really unpolished. The idea sounds awesome but I don't know. There's also the whole calendars location thing being really finicky. I mean I'd love to drop a pin at my office desk and save that exact location as my work so I know how long it'll take me to walk across the street to Taco Bell but it doesn't accept saved pin locations. And I have to wait for the locations list to give me a list of addresses that I've typed or else it just won't work.

Facebook app is doing all sorts of weird poo poo to my feed like ignoring people together (no they're not unfollowed) and listing things that it thinks I'll like versus doing it chronologically which is what I want and I can't make this the default.

I mean the actual message. I can read it on my watch and presumably respond to it? I didn't try. But it's not showing up on my phone (or MacBook) at all. I just disabled iMessage and turned it back on and well it's been stuck at "activating…" for a couple hours now so I guess that's probably what's wrong.

Can apps turn off the f.lux feature through an API or anything? I need my Snapchat snaps and Instagram pics to look amazing at 1am when I run them through a lovely camera filters to show my friends how much of a party animal I am. (No but seriously serious question though, can photo/imaging apps turn off the f.lux filter when I'm doing photo/image editing?)

I've been noticing lately that my lock screen will randomly tell me "Touch ID needs your passcode to be enabled" or whatever the actual message is. It's really weird to me because it's never done it before. I'm on 9.3 but I don't know if this is a recent thing that started with 9.3 or not. I know that this happens when I restart my phone, but this happens randomly when I don't restart my phone as well. Like it happened just now and my phone hasn't been restarted in the past hour I've been sitting here. Does anyone else experience this and how do I fix it?
