Honestly, I'd rather see more avatar than some new thing which has a similarly horrible first season to ATLA and LOK.

I doubt they're thrilled at the idea of that considering the last time that happened.

Honestly, I'm not really either. If Nick gave the IP to someone else, they'd give it to someone who would focus on making it what Nick wants it to be: A merchandising-friendly rerun-friendly show. You'd probably get less respect for the parts of the setting the creators obviously loved and more Meelo-style shenanigans. Less female characters doing things (because they don't sell toys as well, or so Nick believes) and so-on.
