Seth MacFarlane's western bombed this summer, so America's second or third-favorite animated family is back!

This season's showrunners are Steve Callaghan (who was in the middle of running American Dad when Seth called him back to FG), and Cleveland Show showrunner Rich Appel. Callaghan was on Family Guy since day one, and he did a fine job running American Dad. Appel has some excellent credits under his belt, including nearly 100 episodes of King of the Hill, and some of the "golden years" of the Simpsons.

And speaking of the Simpsons...

Tonight, 9/28 at 9 EST:
The Simpsons Guy
Written by: Patrick Meighan
Directed by: Peter Shin

quote:

In a special hour-long crossover with The Simpsons, the Griffins meet the Simpson family when they end up in Springfield while on a road trip. Stewie takes lessons in pranks and skateboarding from Bart; Lois and Marge bond over their idiot husbands; Lisa discovers - to her annoyance - that Meg is as good at playing the saxophone as she is; and Peter gets into a brawl with Homer over which brand of beer is the best – Pawtucket or Duff.

The crossover we might have wanted to see in like 2001 is finally here!

I'm looking forward to it. Family Guy isn't what it was but I still love it.

I was kinda hoping they'd break into a full Simpsons title sequence there.

I've got the advantage. You've got nothing.
I will say giving Walter Murphy control of The Simpsons theme is a pleasure to the ears.

I like the first act of this was essentially a remake of Homer Badman.

More like passive aggressive against people who didn't like the Galaxy at first and probably still don't. Nice to see between this and Microsft's lovely 'OUR COMPUTER LADY IS SMARTER THAN YOURS NYAH NYAH' ads Apple doesn't have to waste money on ad campaigns.
