I wouldn't be surprised if Matt Groening is a goon, but since he doesn't have anything to do with The Simpsons anymore I think this is more of a "lol internet humor" kind of thing.

Bart, Lisa and even Maggie are a real handful for Marge, who can't rely on Homer for help because he's too busy getting drunk and trolling celebrities on Twitter. Marge eventually convinces Homer that they need a nanny and Homer, unconcerned about zany consequences, agrees under the condition that the Nanny is somebody too old to understand technology, so he can pretend he's doing work while he trolls. The first person the Simpsons interview to fill the position turns out to be Betty White (played by herself) who wows the family with a jaunty song about doing homework and chores. Needless to say, she gets the job, but something doesn't seem quite right about her. Later, Bart and Lisa see her sneaking into the basement with a dark sack full of round objects and follow her. In the basement, Betty White has set up an altar to the Great Unseen, a mid-level diety of death and deception. She explains to the children that she should have the freedom to practice her religion, so they help her tastefully arrange the skulls around the altar. Once the skulls are arranged, the animated souls of the dead Golden Girls wreak havoc on Springfield, eventually killing or mortally wounding all inhabitants. Just as Betty White is about to devour the flesh of the Simpson children, who are remarkably pale from bloodloss, live-action Betty White wakes up to reveal it was all just a dream. Relieved, she looks to her left to see a reconstruction of the altar in her bedroom and screams in terror. As she screams, the scene cuts to Homer who is screaming in his sleep while being shaken by Marge. He explains his nightmare to Marge and insists that they check in the basement for any eldritch altars. Once in the basement, they turn on the light to reveal the same altar and the ghosts of the Golden Girls feasting on a barely alive Betty White. The episode ends with Marge and Homer screaming as the shot zooms out above Springfield and into the ship of Kang and Kodos who remark "Fooling earthlings!" and laugh fiendishly until one of them farts. Both deny it and blame the other.

S20E17 "Let the right one in" Directed By: Rob Oliver Written By: Marc Wilmore Air Date: April 19, 2009 Pro. Code: LABF07 Viewers (U.S., million): 6.50 After insulting Apu's nationality, the Quik-E-Mart owner casts a hex on Homer that causes an evil twin to appear the next time Homer looks in the mirror. For weeks, the Simpsons band together to prevent Homer from seeing his own reflection; his feeble mind ultimately fails him, resulting in an Evil Homer. The twin immediately escapes and goes on a rampage, breaking into homes and climbing atop wives as they sleep. In response, the patrons of Moe's Tavern form a posse to capture the creature--but they are unsuccessful. In the end, the posse kills the original Homer and reestablishes Springfield's status quo by giving the evil twin Homer's job and family. Marge expresses uncertainty at the town's decisions, but Evil Homer pulls her back into the house by her hair. Guest star: Lou Bega as EVIL HOMER

S7E11 "Where the Beef?" Directed By: Steven Dean Moore Written By: Mike Scully Air Date: December 17, 1995 Pro. Code: 3F07 Viewers (U.S., million): 16.7 When Homer participates in a hamburger eating contest, the Simpsons meet Presidential candidate Al Gore (who is protesting beef and the effect of cows on global warming). Later, Al Gore invites the Simpsons back to his palace, where he shows them an assortment of 8mm films, including one of ice cubes melting and another of cows being slaughtered. Noticing his idiot-savant expertise on hamburgers, Gore enlists Homer's help in developing a synthetic beef that could help reduce CO2 emissions. Gore puts a significant portion of his wealth and resources at Homer's disposal, the result of which is a "Frankenmeat" that is more destructive to the environment than ordinary beef. The product bankrupts Al Gore, who attempts to commit suicide by eating one of his "Frankenburgs"--but instead of killing him, the burg only causes significant brain damage. In the final scene, we see that it is now "2008" and a visibly handicapped Al Gore is once again running for president amid a crowd of robots and mutants. Guest star: Al Gore as himself

Uncle Wemus posted:R thos real eps In 1994, Hard Copy revealed that Matthew "Matt" Groening had an identical twin named Mark who had done most of the show's writing. Under increasingly untenable pressure from Fox Studios, it is believed that Matt killed Mark and summarily destroyed most of the scripts and characters Mark was working on--but some of them escaped. If you look him up, Wikipedia will claim that Mark is now Matt's older brother. And still alive.
