Remote doors can only be opened remotely so they can be a real pain if you place them before the servo. Like you can't remove them because they need to be unlocked. They are brand new so expect them to be super buggy. Also this game is so much different from last time I played and the remote doors / different schedules / CIs / prisoners being unique makes it feel entirely new.

Also if you have more than 12 prisoners they might be waiting in line to use the phones, which is a great way for fights to break out.

I've noticed that a lot of times the last crosshairs only appear when you have >90% coverage and it is usually for the guys you haven't put in PC yet. I just call in my 3 best guys (50% each) right after everyone goes to bed. Also I don't search anyone's cell directly since it causes the suspicion to increase on the CIs, I only do whole cell blocks and only if there are a few weapons or a tunnel in it.

Heres a progression from a clean start to a ~120 pop prison. 16 max security and 1 super-max, plus only one death even though theres a whole wing of 8 guys who always have someone who wants to kill them. http://i.imgur.com/wC3Hgr2.gifv sorry it sort of jumps around, its just the previews from the save games. also apparently a good marker for how i make each time i play

Also my life in this game right now is trying to get that drat legendary super-max guy to satisfy any need without him spending 12 hours in solitary. he is starving a lot since i can only let him out when everyone else is asleep and the canteen is empty (he lives in the carveout i made to the holding cell in the last gif image)

At one point you could pay for a "deluxe" alpha where you got to design and name a character. The stats on prisoners and confidential informants did a ton to add narrative to the game. Everyone used to be really homogenous, but now you can have your favorite snitches and watch as they get murdered in the shower because the guards just so happened to search every cell with bottle of booze after he left lunch early with a few guards. Or you can try to protect the one guy in 600 who managed to pass general education (no one passes gen ed). They are working on making it more personal.

I've found tunnels without dismantling and reassembling toilets. I normally just search cell blocks at night, higher chance they are digging then. I'm annoyed that CIs don't warn you about them though. It should be harder to keep a huge escape tunnel that has been under construction for months by a whole cell block secret than the shank or the fork someone stole from the canteen that morning.
