In the game, players have to prepare the Spice Girls for a live television concert by doing such things as teaching them the dance steps they must do for the performance, choosing the song they will perform, and the sequence in which the song's lyrics will be sung. When it's time for the show to happen, the player gets to be a camera-person, deciding which camera shots will go and the angle from which the girls will be seen. The player gets to watch the girls "sing" and dance as the player has directed them to, with the camera shots selected by the player. The player is instructed by a disco king on what to do. The Spice Girls lent their voices to their characters in the game. Okay... what were the reviews like? The game received an average score of 94.00% at GameRankings, based on an aggregate of 4 reviews. Well drat... that sounds better than I imagined We Know. Do they have my favorite songs included? With tracks like "Wannabe,", "Who Do You Think You Are", "Move Over", "Spice Up Your Life," and "Say You'll Be There," each animated Spice Girl will offer a few comments as they tour the game's stages, experiencing a DJ and dance instructor that speak in stereotypical fashions. There are eleven dance moves, each one a different combination of four buttons. The game also contains a dozen interviews along with other entertaining moments, such as Geri Halliwell pinching Prince Charles' bottom, and the girls wreaking havoc on a Japanese talk-show. Okay, I'm in We told you so, but be warned! This game is addictive as all gently caress!  FORMATTING Widestancer and I will be taking turns on the gameplay side of things, each offering a unique insight in the World Of Spicecraft  Chapter One: The Mixroom, Girl Select, and The Songs  The first thing we do upon loading the game up, is select a girl First up! Ginger Spice!   : Hi! I'm ginger spice. Let's spice up your life!Then we have Spooky Spice   : Don't be scared. My mom thought I was a homosexual when I was much younger because I was really into the spice girls, but hell, I was just into sexy babes from a young age. My father used to be ashamed when he'd bring me to the store to buy something and I'd throw a fit if I didn't get the spice girls album. Thanks for the nostalgia, rated 5 and I can't wait to see how this turns out.

  : Thanks for choosing me, Baby Spice. I will be sure not to disappoint my loyal fans! On a tie-breaking vote, the fans chose Baby Spice for the first girl we will play as. The mixing room is a really creative concept for a game this old (and a licensed game at that). Really this game has more than average depth for a game about singing, dancing, and filming the girls doing both.  This image of the man with a goatee wearing night vision goggles both simultaneously pointing at his head and giving the "ok" sign with his other hand is where we begin this fabulous journey into the world of spice. The night vision goggles with come into play during "Stalk" mode later, which plays like a version of metal gear solid with QTE based stealth minigames. the following images show the different songs and options we have. Note the only way to advance is by pressing DOWN on the D-PAD, no other key works, and if you want to go back to a previous entry, you have to exit the menu and start again. Pressing DOWN once.  Pressing DOWN three times.  Pressing Down six times.  Pressing and holding DOWN for 11 seconds nets you my personal favorite song  The Secret Song you unlock by pressing and holding down, and entering X,O,X,O,X,O,X,O and holding L1, L2, and R2 for 62 seconds.  This next Menu is what happens when you select a song, you get to see the various modes and games associated with the song  This includes stuff like Dance Practice before you hit the big stage and before you get on TV (you have to know the moves, before you can really strut your stuff as they say in britain)

The next section was going to be me taking the "act" that we did and demonstrating the "dance practice" mode of this game. Once I'm not phone posting I'll do that part. However, I can clear up a few things now in a little mini update so that we're all on the same page here. The game itself doesn't give you any indication as to what you are supposed to do; the creepy DJ guy simply says "Sorry girls but you need an act first" if you try to select anything except "mixing room" from the menu screen. What constitutes an act? Why, a set of snippets from the song you chose earlier (short snippets mind you) mashed together in whatever order you recorded them in. That's it. That's your act. You can't pick and choose from the whole song, just 9 pre recorded short samples. You have to chain these together more than 10 times to make an "act" thus ensuring that there will be some really weird repetition happening. So how would we make an act? In deference to My Friend Blind Sally I have selected Wanna Be for the song and act. I can upload it on a movie if anyone really desires it but due to the limitations mentioned above it sounds really loving dumb. You take your act and then save it to your memory card; the game does not tell you that you need space on a memory card before you start everything so I imagine that their were some very disappointed Spice Girls fans when this hit due to this. It's not seamless either and doesn't tell you what to do once you save your act onto your memory card. You have to spice up your life and try random menu options, while only being able to go "down" on the menu list to do so. This means that if you accidentally skip "Dance Practice" and want to go back to it well tough poo poo buddy you're gonna be hitting down for awhile as the game does the animation for you walking across "Spice World". Yes, that is the menu. Walking across Spice World. As a true Spice Girls fan this was upsetting to me. In fact it's so upsetting that I'm going to take a breather and seek some audience input: Would you like me to make any videos for this LP? Should I allow the audience to make their own "act" in a mini update? Both would require extra work on my part but since my LP partner has been probated I've got to double down on content to keep this LP up to the high standards of this forum. Ha, it doesn't sound like it's worth it to let the audience choose an act, though it might be fun. I would be interested in seeing at least on of these act's played out, even if the video is only a few minutes long (it might be better that way).

Micro Update The audience has spoken and there will be a video for this demonstrating the process of coming up with an "act". If it goes well maybe I'll do one for the dance practice or something. Now I need to know which song to do for the act! You have the following choices: Wannabe Spice Up Your Life There are other choices but those songs are dumb and bad unlike these Spice Girls songs that are good and awesome. Due to the way that Youtube screens content I'll probably have to use my soothing voice as the audio; since the Spice Girls are a well known and classy act if I left in even the sampled audio it would probably be flagged immediately and no one wants that. I hope that's okay with everyone  So once again...
