Im glad i settled for hard then. btw, open question here: ive only played one fire emblem before.. am i right in thinking that arranging it so that my avatar gets most of the exp in the first few battles is good in the long run? The avatar is so fuckin good you can feed your first few chapters directly into other units and have your avatar still be effective. Kellam is stupid good if you give him the early XP.

the first 5 chapters are a crapshoot and then you have to use dlc to grind somehow, marth is the easiest fight in it

i like leif/ephraim/alm i am actively offended by ike/micaiah/eirika/celica palla's weird outfit angle makes it less good but it's a good design aside from that. the rest are just okay.
