ssri's are selective seratonin reuptake inhibitors they work to slow down the process of reabsorbing available seratonin back into your system so you have more available. seratonin is the neurotransmitter primarily thought to facilitate mood balance. you don't want too little of it. is that helpful op. |

there can be some pretty nasty side effects, yeah, Paxil for one can give you anything from annoying nausea and completely killing your ability to do anything sex related to really scary poo poo like mini-seizures after you quit it they also tend to alter what people would consider part of your self or personality pretty heavily and a lot of people aren't really comfortable with that, it can feel like wearing a metaphorical ill-fitting coat around your conciousness and finally sometimes the condition the SSRIs treat has its upsides, manic depressives might miss the manic stages a lot and want them back etc. |

What was I doing? I do some goofy poo poo now and again but not like that. That was just stupid. That's not me. I need to think this through. I didn't know it at the time, but I got myself probated on purpose. I needed something to wake me up. It would've been nice if my subconcious picked something better than me humiliating myself in fyad but that's the breaks I guess. I've felt lost for a while now. Since college really. I'm sick of it, and I'm not going to accept it anymore. I've spent enough time thinking about the future. It's time to make it happen. I'm not going to post for a while. I'm going to focus on my actual life. I need to move to a place that I love to be, start a fulfilling career, and find a wife. The main thing about SSRIs: it is potentially dangerous to mix them with other drugs as it makes the other drugs much more potent than at the same dosage as they normally would be. Say you take some SSRIs and then one dose of MDMA, your body would react as if you took more (potentially much more) than one dose. edit: Little late to the party I see, oh well, hope you got yer answer

you would have a super trip on what you would consider a normal dose of whatever. If im not mistaken, which I very well could be, SSRIs don't really do much in the way of recreational feel goods just by themselves. They just make other things extremely more potent. I am not a doctor however. |
