August is the Cruelest Month
I don't have a birth certificate.

Not because my parents misplaced it or something, they purposefully didn't register me at birth. We lived in the USSR at the time and they were dissidents of a sort. My father used to joke that the only evidence for my birth being the bill from the hospital.
