Zombie Master was the poo poo. Empires was also extremely good but had a small playerbase. Very fun to be playing as a medic/engineer squad, desperately building walls for cover and reviving each other constantly because the jeep we took with us got blown up.

ill mess the hell up anyone at hidden source. i was One of the few, the very proud, that could instakill people by hurling barrels it was actually easier to use hte knife but not as cool

Half-life 2: Substance Gold, aka the mod that lets you play as Gordon Freeman, Solid Snake, Liquid Snake, and Big Boss, each with their own unique systems and weapon loadouts (as well as unlockable Gray Fox) and makes the entire HL2 campaign more stealth oriented with new AI and enemies, max payne bullet time, is eternally broken forever because of the source engine update and pipeline update, the source code to the mod was never released and the creators have all literally disappeared from the face of the internet earth rest in peace

Cyra posted:soo is black mesa still coming out on steam or what its been out for awhile now also Valve gave Sven Co-op the full source code of GoldSrc so they've made pretty much their own engine with all this cool stuff, when the new version is done it will be on steam for free, with Uplink, Opposing Force, Blue Shift and the main Half-life campaign all playable in it without needing to own any of the HL games. It's hopefully coming soon since their last post on it was September stating it was really close. it's a half-life 1 mod but still, heads up for those that didn't know.

hidden and dystopia owned most SP mods were terrible and amateurish apart from Minverva which was just boring really

HL1 and HL2 have some of my favorite mods of all time. There was a time during '99 to about '02 where you were inundated with awesome loving mods for HL1. HL2 seemed a bit slower in it's stream of downloads available. Here is a list of HL1 and 2 mods that I absolutely love. They will not be in order or specified for which product. Scientist Hunt Rocketcrowbar Action Half-Life The Opera The Specialists Natural Selection Age of Chivalry Pirates Vikings and Knights 1 and 2 Eternal Silence Fistful of Frags Team Fortress/CS/DoD The Hidden Jailbreak Earth Special Forces Firearms Frontline Force Science and Industry. Half-Life Paintball Sven Coop Zombie Panic No More Room in Hell Resistance and Liberation Perfect Dark/Goldeneye Source NeoTokyo Garry's Mod Dystopia Insurgency Empires Battlegrounds Like holy gently caress all of these are multiplayer and all of them are awesome.
