Geomancing posted:Yeah, not just you, and not just this thread. Basically any thread with a ton of images in it, like a bunch of threads in Let's Play, will cause Firefox to poo poo itself. Firefox is a 32-bit application and I hit the 2-gigabyte limit daily. It will just stop rendering poo poo or just freeze, pegging 1 core of the processor. It either being 64-bit or having multiple processes would help, but it has neither yet, so.

Knormal posted:There's been a 64-bit Linux version for ages and image-heavy threads just started hanging or displaying blank squares for images since 37. The Android version started doing something similar with version 36. It's not a memory limit, they've changed something in the way images are rendered and broke something. Yeah, my problems might actually have come from running adblock and ghostery. I disabled them and installed ublock and it seems that the memory situation is better.

Count Roland posted:More Mad Max please. I think much of the movie could be shown in gif form. When the movie comes out on blu-ray, there needs to be a site that just randomly picks a time and then makes a gif out of the next 5 seconds of the film.

Gorilla Salad posted:I'm still leery of watching anything out of Japan that isn't people being brutally maimed in game shows after these forums conned me into watching JoJo's Stupid Adventures in Homoerotic Shouting. I'd describe One Punch Man as a super hero parody/homage cartoon where large scale battles sometimes happen around OPM and then OPM himself being a deux ex machina that ends the fight. With one punch. I liked it. If you're interested in any way, maybe watch the first couple of episodes and if you don't like those, skip the rest. I don't watch that much anime, the last series I watched was Ghost in the shell SAC, I think.

What is happening here? Motion vectors being multiplied or something?

Karate Bastard posted:I guess if you found a way to multiply all the vectors by a factor two or something it'd still be datamoshing? Well, the data formats are standardized, you would "only" need to make a parser that can edit the motion vectors And no, I was no talking about gif loops, I was talking about this, where the same motion is repeated in concurrent frames. Also I know of "scene changing" daamoshing too, I was not talking about that either: That other gif looks like this gif, only "exaggerated"
