Oculus was a relatively decent horror movie until the cheap shot ending.

I remember liking the Clerks cartoon. Since it was cancelled pretty quickly you could marathon the DVD in like 2-3 hours.

It had a lot of good gags.

I liked the old cartoon too, this was very much different.

Dead Silence wasn't a particularly clever or original scary movie, but drat it has some creep to it. Worth a watch if you like cookie cutter supernatural horror.

It's pointless. It completely lacks the story and grit of the original. Hell even Detroit itself in the new one doesn't look like a bad place to live.

Hot Fuzz is just really, really satisfying to watch. It's incredibly smartly constructed, funny as hell, and really loving exciting as well. I'd *almost* go so far as to say it's more or less a perfect movie.

I was thinking exactly this while watching it today. If you rate movies on a scale from zero to one, it's a total one.

There's a great blend of clever and stupid. Plus there's something about someone getting beaned in the head with an aluminum trash can that slays me.

Checked out The Babadook last night. I liked it, and recommend it to anyone that wants a creepy horror movie to watch.

I just really really wish they didn't turn it into yet another possession movie. It just seems like a lazy way to not have to show a cool monster anymore. We can just make the actor go crazy!

I love that the movie is basically about killing off all the friendly nonhumans from The Neverending Story. The animal Noah saves in the opening, was totally a luck dragon, and I was waiting to see the rock guys pull out tricycles. It was a ludicrously puerile movie though, bad guys are bad and you know it because they just flat bite the heads off of cute little animals and eat them raw. Also you can gauge Noah's sanity entirely based on his haircut in each scene.

I did LOL at the "I'm so horny I will go to the dark side!" subplot though.

Once you notice how Crowe's eyes never both point at the same thing, the rest of the movie is gold.

I had assumed it was just some standard Michael Bay crap, but someone told me it was actually a comedy so I gave it a shot and really enjoyed it. I think it might be on Amazon Prime as well, so give it a shot if you have a couple of hours to kill and want some laughs.

They just added Transformers: Age of Extinction, and I have to say, this movie sucks so bad it's ridiculous. They have a guy carry around a card in his wallet validating the legality of his underage relationship, and between him and the yellow car, I couldn't understand 40% of the speech in the movie.

I'm pretty sure there wasn't a storyline. There were way too many main characters, to the point where you'd forget certain ones existed. The movie is 2.5 hours long. The lead underage girl looks like someone pointed an airbrush directly at her face. Nothing is accomplished. I could go on forever about how Michael Bay needs to be shot out of a cannon.
