Also claiming his point 1 is wrong is pretty stupid because someone in the government obviously believes indefinite detentions is justified or they wouldn't be happening. That says nothing as to whether or not they are justified (they're not, obviously). twodot is making the roundabout point that people who commit evil don't generally believe themselves to be evil. That's a reasonable position and you're basically just reading what you want to read.
