i have 2 cats and i have to keep them physically separated because the younger one gets his rear end kicked and poops himself in fear i should have stuck with 1 cat.

i remember when i was a kid my grandmother had like 17 cats that lived on her property. in the wintertime they'd all pile up in a big mound of fur on the porch to keep warm, it was amazing to see. eventually some coyotes or something came through and started picking them off.  anyway growing up we used to have two cats for a while. then the older cat passed away and we didn't get another one (dunno why). when I moved out I took Furball with me and we were bros because i'd had him since he was a kitten. when i had to have him put down he was like 18 or 19 years old and it was heartbreaking. i was a wreck coming out of the vet's office. it took me a couple of years before i was ready to get another cat, and by then i'd heard enough times that Sniep posted:cats need a buddy cat so when my ex-girlfriend said she was looking to downsize her cat population from five cats to like one or two, I asked for a pair of good adult cats and got an adorbable pair. anyway, that's my story. thanks and "god bless",

i've heard that having 2 cats so they have a pal is good and i've thought about it cause my cat is p attention-hungry but she also seems to hate every other cat in the world so idk

well my lease says 1 cat only so maybe when i move in the spring but i still don't know. tess seems p happy being an only cat and any time she's sitting in the window and a cat walks by outside she flips out so hard that she has fallen off the windowsill before
