SilverSupernova posted:Are the heroes and villains suppose to be kids in this or is the art style just making everything look cute? It's partially Mike Maihack's style (he does the kids friendly comic Cleopatra in Space), partially story related. It's a story a little girl is telling while playing with her sister's dolls/action figures. She then gets in trouble for drawing cheetah spots on her sister's Barbie, saves her sister from an attacking dog, then they play Wonder Woman together. To be fair, half the series is Sergio getting hit on the head, thinking he's Conan, and running around the city with his rear end hanging out of a hospital gown. The other half is the towns' people making assumptions of whether Conan can/has won. I'm on issue 4 and so far, there's been about two pages of actual fighting. And no one won.

(This results is a pretty fuckin' bananas series, by the way. It starts Braniac-does-Hitchhiker's-Guide-To-The-Galaxy, and goes through Blackest Night, and ends with the Teen Titans mashed up with the Universal monsters) Yeah, I believe so. I was just pointing out that even a good artist can't save that design. And I'm not saying an anime inspired redesign is automatically bad, just those have all been the lowest common denominator hyper sexualized stereotypes.

Baron Bifford posted:Why does her armor have wings when she can already fly? I didn't include the image, but when she and Batman fight and fly up into the sky (where they see the bomber planes), she has them extended like a glider. It's a nice contrast to Batman's black wings, so I guess that's the reason? I'm pretty sure she does fly around without that armor or wings elsewhere in the series.

My friend bought some art prints a few years back that were just the panel boarders, word balloons, and sound effects of famous comic scenes (I think he got the death of Gwen Stacey and Banner becoming The Hulk). That Galactus page would seem like a good contender for a page to convert.
