Yeah you're never playing against the course in links golf, you're playing the weather. Almost any Open Championship rounds are just birdie and eagle fests if the wind's calm.

not for nothing but I'd imagine a ton of them grew up playing in those lovely conditions and considering how some of them can still get into miserable conditions they'd be able to save themselves out of it easily enough
