It's cool that we've kind of messed up relationships to this point where this is how people approach dating.

There's a fabled time where dating itself wasn't a commodity. You kinda stumbled into and out of relationships and slowly tried to learn from it, while being aware each next relationship was new and different and maybe had nothing to do with the last. In fact the acts themselves somehow managed to be more important than the symbolism of them. Thankfully, we've moved beyond such small-minded thinking.

I like that the OKC people do seem to have a sense of humor about how messed up internet dating is and try to provide examples of how people act/react to profiles and messages and so on. I also like that it usually shows how shallow and sad people are, and users react by getting pissed at OKC instead of seeing how messed up they are about love and relationships.

I went on a date w/ a girl from OKC last week. She was very cute and we enjoyed each other's jokes but after the first date she said she didn't feel a spark which means I'm probably ugly but still she was nice and up-front and I told her she was great and wished her luck and probably the saddest thing is that a normal unsuccessful date is something to be cherished these days.

I do like that sharing bad first-date stories is now a first-date thing thanks to online dating. She was telling me one guy asked her out for a Saturday night then messaged her Saturday afternoon asking if she could bring some friends because he and his friends had been day-drinking. I was like drat, that's alpha.

I went on a couple of dates w/ girls in the medical field a few months ago- 2 Doctors (I think one in residency technically) and a therapist. They always seemed to show up to a first date really tired and right after work, which seems kinda self-sabotaging but oh well what do I know?

I think people would be pretty happy if dating websites gave you a score based on some really objectifying criteria and only allowed you to contact people with the same score as you.

It's basically objective truth that you're undesirable. That sucks and makes me feel kinda bad I sometimes wonder if number of unsolicited dick pics is now at the point of humble-bragging among women.

I suspect one of the nice things about Tinder is you can tell who the unattractive people are just based on whether they write anything in their summary.

One thing I really like is when someone responds to your message with a reply that seems completely eager but leaves no obvious path to continue a conversation. I asked a girl who said she's "changing the world" in her 'what I'm doing' section "hey, how are you changing the world?" "That's a tough question, give me an easier one." "Ok sure- assuming you don't have a date planned for Valentines day, what show do you plan on netflixing/DVRing? I plan on whating youtubes of dogs playing." "Oh I didn't even realize Valentines day was coming up "

Why do women say "no shirtless pics" on dating websites? Everybody knows women like muscular, toned, dudes, so why don't they want to see pictures of this on dating profiles? After about, IDK maybe 25, people should be required to put something in their profiles about their hangups or fears or something. Nothing seems more weird to me than a girl in her 30s (or anyone, really) who basically describes their life as one fantastic journey for that long after college. I almost prefer the people who telegraph their issues with "I NEED A MAN NOT A BOY" because at least I know I can relate to people who have issues.
