There are actually about a dozen N64 games that use old style battery saves. Most notably Ocarina of Time, FZeroX, Smash Bros, and Harvest Moon. And about a further dozen that use Flash, most notably Majora’s Mask, Paper Mario, Jet Force Gemini, and basically every Pokémon cash in game. And to tie this into your question about early memory cards, the N64 memory card (The Controller Pak) is a battery save too.
