Watch Head Hunters, Misfits, or Almighty Johnsons if you like something on the lighter side of things.

Dreamcatcher showed up recently on canadian Netflix. It's surprisingly not terrible if you approach it as a light buddy comedy. Special effects hold up well, the cast is doing a good job, even the plot is moving along with purpose.

Has anyone mentioned Chef's Table yet? Really interesting if you like fancy food you'll almost certainly never get to eat.

Chefs are nutters.

Watched the first one and it's pretty solid. Good story, good production.
Also has a (perhaps unintentional) illustration of a typical food critic that appears to be quite the way up her own behind.

I've become addicted to watching all of Anthony Bourdain's shows since they all are on Netflix. As someone who hasn't travelled nearly as much as he should have at this point in his life, I'm both enthralled and jealous.

No, seriously, I'm jealous. His career for the last 13 or so years has been going all over the world, stuffing his face with amazing food, and bragging about it on camera. gently caress that dude.

Not to worry, in his latest show he ascended so far up his own rear end in a top hat it's doubtful we'll ever see him doing normal things again.

Watch Penguins of Madagascar, solid entertainment with a simple story and good voice acting. Spot all the octopuses names for a bingo card.

Do not watch Wild Canaries, unstructured masturbatory tale of a young couple in NY trying to resist friends hitting on them. There is supposedly a mysterious death thrown in for good measure, but the whole thing is so dumb they have two characters literary explain at the audience instead of third act.

*Both available on canadian netflix, other access may differ.
