fwiw, I feel like general-purpose megathreads also tend to degenerate into weird cliquey bullshit as they run out of actual new content to post, which is unfunny & depressing

more focused threads have a higher chance of being actually funny/interesting (and if one sucks, it usually dies pretty fast, so who cares)
