The Glumslinger posted:So AEG, who wants to build the stadium in downtown LA, commissioned a report about how the Inglewood stadium would be a likely site for a terrorist attack. According to the FBI "Terrorism is defined in the Code of Federal Regulations as “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a civilian population thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives” (28 C.F.R)" sounds like most Raiders/49ers games tbh

Volkerball posted:Why wouldn't they? The Raiders have a huge leg up on any other team when it comes to establishing a fan base in LA. Mark or no Mark, the team would make a lot of money. quote:* If the NFL had to put two teams there, it would probably prefer the Rams and Chargers, but since those teams are in the cities most amenable to knuckling under to their football teams, the league’s other owners would probably prefer not to punish cities that roll over for them. http://www.csnbayarea.com/raiders/seven-things-we-now-know-after-nfl-owners-meetings

warcrimes posted:^^ don't quote Ray loving Ratto if you want to come off as giving facts, NFL Insider was reporting the exact opposite this morning and it's kind of been discussed a lot on the media outlets here. Spanos and Davis have forged this kind of strange partnership and are joined at the hip, unless the Chargers somehow stay in SD. I loving hate Ratto, I just found that article this morning and I was mad about it

I may be an Al-apologist or whatever but I think Al Davis started making risky but not senile decisions near the end. Russell and McFadden and DHB in theory could have taken the league by storm if yknow, Jamarcus wasnt Jamarcus

^^^(the Colorado sports properties are in the name of Josh Kroenke, one of his children, to satisfy NFL ownership restrictions that forbid a team owner from owning teams in other markets) The NFL should suck up taxpayer money from St Louis for a stadium, move the Chargers to LA and put the Raiders on an aircraft carrier that moves constantly. I saw like 4 in Brownsville, TX when I was there just waiting to be scrapped

Mark Davis plays the LA/San Antonio card hard, signs a deal with Spanos and sits back and watches the first round of voting take place. The NFL basically gives Davis money to bow out of the deal. He makes the league happy, the owners happy, the fans happy. I wonder if he did it on purpose
