If this is what we get when a team moves then the Chargers, Raiders, and everyone else need to do the right thing and move

London are never getting a team. Ever.

The NFL love to talk about it as if there's a significant population here who even give a poo poo about the NFL. There isn't. Even small-market teams like the Bills or Jags' support would take a nosedive figures-wise here.

Didn't we just have years of people saying LA and Vegas were never getting a team

Hell, we even had years of "a game in London is the most expansion the league will get" and now we're about to have a game in Mexico

Lots of Raiders/Chargers relocation talk out there the last 24 hours:

Raiders would relinquish the rights to L.A. and the owners will vote for the Vegas relocation. Talk is still that they would stay in Oakland for at least two years (I don't buy it), but could move to Sam Boyd stadium (which would add seats and renovate the locker rooms) if the NFL prefers they leave the Oakland market immediately. If this happens, those early season games in Vegas would be ridiculously hot.

Chargers would maintain rights to L.A. but would continue to try and get a stadium done with San Diego with the NFL potentially offering to bridge a deal (100-200 million). This would be paid back over 10-20 years, like a relocation fee. Hopes would be to get a stadium deal done in 2018, if not they would then relocate to L.A., and re-brand the team.

NFL/CBS would broadcast Raider games in the L.A. market for AT LEAST two years as a defacto home market team. This could go longer depending on what happens with the Chargers.

If the NFL lets a team play in a seat that will never hold even 30k people, they are essentially already giving up on the location

Is it possible that maybe, just maybe, we can move every team to LA? It's clearly very important we do this rather than expand to another city that has say, 0 teams.

Note that you can no longer say Vegas

What I don't get is how stupid they are for letting this happen. Like... did they not see how empty the stadium was at the end of the Rams season? Did they think that was just because they didn't have a loving star player there like Phillip Rivers?

Don't be dramatic. The Rams might realistically have been the most boring team in the NFL this season, in a new market, in a lovely stadium. This is a business plan for the next few decades. It's going to take time, and that was expected.

Kroenke, agreed.

I don't believe for a moment Dean Spanos even thinks he'll be alive for the next few decades, let alone that he'll be satisfied with where he and his baby team are by then, and can easily see him hustling a new place for money before Trump's reelection is over
