I had a pretty awesome food engine in my last game: Schnapps Distiller (each harvest you can convert 1 vegetable to 4 food) + Gardener (when you harvest vegetables, they come from the supply instead of off of your fields) + House Goat (in lieu of storing an animal in your home, you get +1 food every harvest). The great thing about this was that once I got the imps out and some veggies planted, it was completely automatic; I got 5 food/harvest, guaranteed. Requirements: 1 field 2 stone + 2 veggies (to build the distillery and to plant) 2 minor improvement actions (one distillery, one goat) 1 occupation action This can obviously be improved by using a cooking corner + spices, which lets you convert any number of veggies to 5 food each at any time. That's 4-5 clay, a major improvement action, and two minor improvement actions, plus the gardener, so it's slightly harder to get out (I got my stone from the RSW space; clay was less available). The main problem with both is that it takes awhile for veggies to become available. What's the best fully-automatic (i.e. no actions needed to get food once it's set up) food engine you can set up? Obviously "best" is pretty fuzzy; for example, a cooking hearth + breeding pairs of each animal type is 9 food/harvest, but requires lots of setup and waiting for cows to become available to hit full strength. Something like Bakehouse (bake 2x grain => 5 food each) + Baker (free bake action between harvesting and feeding) + something to let you automatically get grain would let you make up to 10 food/harvest, and you could start getting that out right from the start. Are there any auto-grain generators like the Gardener does for veggies?

Honorable mention: the two-stroke triple in the Kawasaki H2, the original crotch rocket. Murder the planet with two-stroke emissions while murdering yourself on nasty little bike that aggressively wheelies in any gear and was the fastest production vehicle on the planet at the time of its release.
